The RMHC leadership team brings a range of experiences and backgrounds to our mission to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare.
Katie Fitzgerald, Global President & CEO, RMHC
Katie Fitzgerald is the Global President and CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc. In this role, she leads the strategic vision for the Charity's long-term growth, global impact and delivery of mission at RMHC Chapters in more than 60 countries and regions around the world. Katie is also a member of McDonald's Global Impact Leadership Team, partnering with the brand's leadership to ensure continued alignment and partnership across both RMHC and McDonald’s.
Prior to joining RMHC, Katie served as the president and chief operating officer of Feeding America, the United States' largest non-profit organization working to end hunger. Before that, she held leadership positions at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, Make-a-Wish Oklahoma, and the Center for Children and Families in Norman, Oklahoma, among other organizations.
Katie received her bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and master's degree in social work from the University of Michigan.
Stacey Bifero, Global Chief Financial Officer, RMHC
Stacey Bifero is the Global Chief Financial Officer for Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc. Stacey previously served as Director of Finance for RMHC Global, beginning in March of 2012, and was elected as Controller in April 2015. Prior to joining the Charity, Stacey spent seven years working in various positions within McDonald’s Corporate Finance. Before that, Stacey worked in Finance at Navistar International Corporation, and she started her career working in public accounting as an auditor for Arthur Andersen.
Stacey is a CPA and has a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and a Master’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Shannon Duval, Global Chief Development Officer, RMHC
Shannon Duval is the Global Chief Development Officer for Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc. She is responsible leading the development function and driving global strategies to better support the work RMHC does in communities around the world. Prior to joining RMHC, Shannon worked for CommonSpirit Health, the largest non-profit health system in the United States, where she led fundraising across 140 hospitals and over 1,000 care sites in 21 states, delivering historic results.
In addition, Shannon has extensive experience in academic medicine, national health charities, community-based medicine and health systems. Prior to CommonSpirit, she held leadership and development roles at Catholic Health Initiatives National Foundation, Mercy Foundation, St. Luke’s Health Care Foundation, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and more. She is especially passionate about health equity and has spent significant portions of her career raising funds for pediatric initiatives, family-centered care and health equity initiatives such as the “More in Common Alliance” with Morehouse School of Medicine.
Rodney Jordan, Global Chief Operating Officer, RMHC
Rodney Jordan is the Global Chief Operating Officer for Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc. In this role, Rodney oversees strategy and operations and leads a team responsible for supporting local Chapters in their strategic planning, global Chapter standards, growth and expansion, program research and evaluation, DEI efforts, risk management, and technology and infrastructure for the RMHC Global system. Prior to his current role, Rodney held several roles at McDonald’s Corporation.
Rodney holds a BA in English Literature from Morehouse College, an MS in Technical and Professional Communication from Southern Polytechnic State University, and an MS in the History and Sociology of Science and Technology from Georgia Tech. He is also a certified Professional of Human Resources (PHR), has Completed Columbia Business School's Private Equity and Venture Capital Business Excellence program, and is a graduate of the LEAD Atlanta Class of 2010 and the 2021 National Urban League of Chicago Impact Program.
Joanna Sabato, Global Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, RMHC
Joanna Sabato is currently the Global Chief Marketing & Communications Officer for Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc. She and her team are responsible for the development and execution of the organization’s global marketing and fundraising strategies. This includes oversight of the RMHC brand including compliance, consistency, positioning and communication across the entire RMHC Chapter system in 60 countries and regions and building fundraising capacity to support the expanding needs of the RMHC system.
Previously, Joanna held roles at Legends, the Cleveland Browns, Hearst Television and Cox Media Group. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Findlay.
